I am Anne Suhaymah Armstrong, a fully qualified professional counsellor with a Master of Counselling and have current membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and a member of the ACA, College of supervisors. I am NDIS registered provider with verification complicance and I offer Employee Assistance services. In addition, I have a Bachelor of Adult Education and Community (First Class Honours) and a Diploma of Fine Arts.
These qualifications combined alongside considerable experience working in various Non-government organisations (NGO's) arms me with a set of skills that will enable me to offer the optimum counselling services for clients.
How I Can
My personal goal is to be able to help people help themselves.
Counselling is based on a wellbeing emphasis with respect and sensitivity to peoples' own life expertise.
This business intends to work with a respectful, non- judgemental and confidential service to all clients. I offer private clinical sessions in my own home or alternatively can offer sessions in the comfort of your own home. I also encourage group sessions and am willing to work as a group facilitator in schools, organisations or workplace environments.
My counselling theory focuses on placing the client as the expert of their own life. I strive to respect the unique story of every person and work ‘alongside’ every client by considering together multiple options for multiple solutions.
I counsel individuals, couples and families in a clinic room in my home. I also offer home visits and I am happy to participate with telephone counselling or online.
I specialise with narrative, solution focused and collaborative theory and like to explore therapy using visual arts as a modality. I offer supervision, work with Employment Assistant Programs (EAP) and am a NDIS registered provider.
